I only take on a limited number of new branding clients at a time to make sure each project receives the attention needed to create a unique and memorable identity design.

Clients will work directly with me to define what it is that makes your brand so special.

You will be involved every step in the process – from research to sketching to design concepts – to ensure you’re left with a visual identity you love.

Design Process

 

This is my step-by-step process for designing custom brand identities.

My process relies on taking the time to understand your brand’s unique spark and  I conduct extensive research into your brand’s values, industry, target audience, and competitor companies to form a unique creative strategy.

01. CONSULTATION CALL + BOOKING

After you fill out an Initial Project Inquiry form, we’ll set up a time to chat more in-depth about your business, vision and goals, and specific branding needs. I’ll walk you through my process and you’ll have the chance to ask any questions you may have for me. After the call, I’ll send over an official project proposal within 24 hours.  Once we have confirmed that we are a good match, you will receive an invoice and design contract. A signed contract and a 50% deposit are required to confirm your project start date.

02. CLIENT PORTAL

After I receive the deposit and contract, I’ll set up a client portal for you through my website. This portal will serve as your project’s homebase. All your documents, drafts, revisions, and final design files will be uploaded to the portal for you to reference. You will be able to see a breakdown of your design timeline and the current status of the project.

03. DISCOVERY

You can start on your Client Homework as soon as you gain access to the portal. Inside, you will find 2 main homework assignments: 1. A link to a Design Questionnaire, which helps me to better understand your business, and 2. information on creating a Pinterest Inspiration Board for your brand and a place for you to share the URL of that board with me. At the same time, I will be using the information from your questionnaire to conduct in-depth research into your business, target audience, industry, and competitors. This helps me infuse as much of your business’ story into your new brand design.

04. INSPIRE

Once the project phase officially begins, I will use the information provided by your questionnaire and Pinterest Board to create a cohesive Inspiration Board that will serve as your brand’s visual foundation. The completed Inspiration Board will be uploaded to your client portal for your approval. I will conduct any necessary design research during this phase to better understand your niche, audience, and purpose.

05. DESIGN

Using the information collected, I will design your brand’s logo to appeal to your target market. I will stay in touch with you during this phase to send you the design concepts, discuss necessary changes, and make any design revisions. It is important that you provide honest and specific feedback on design concepts.

06. DELIVERY

After you have approved the final design, I will send you the remaining invoice. Once the final payment has been received, you will be able to download your designs through the client portal. The designs will be provided in multiple formats (.png, .EPS, and pdf.). You will also be able to download a File-Use Guide containing an overview of all included files and when each format should be used.
